This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
A general comment is in order regarding the viewing of my photographs on a computer. Unfortunately computer science has yet to establish any standards that allow for accurate calibration of monitors between computers, and I find this very frustrating. For me, photography has always been and always will be all about the print. It is vital that you see my images how I intend them to look. Although computers provide a great method for displaying images in a very public arena which allows me to reach people throughout the globe, computers remain imperfect for precise viewing of photographs. I would hate to imagine someone viewing a great classical Ansel Adams image on an LCD monitor that is adjusted in a manner which displays that image some other way in which Ansel presented it in a photographic print.
It is unfortunate that my images look quite different across various computers, and I have decided to attempt to remedy this problem by preparing my images for deviantART on an iMAC where the monitor has been adjusted through the Advance calibration settings with my own eye.
